Georgia's Internally Displaced

In 2012, Crisis Group sent me to Georgia, where I interviewed the organization's South Caucasus analysts, toured the administrative boundary separating South Ossetia from Georgia proper, and spoke with Georgians internally displaced during the 2008 war with Russia. Afterward, I produced this short video featuring then-South Caucasus director Lawrence Sheets and analyst Medea Turashvili as they explained the many obstacles preventing Abkhazian and South Ossetian IDPs from returning home.
